Commander's Welcome

Welcome to AFROTC Detachment 645 at The Ohio State University, where our mission is to develop quality leaders for the Air Force.  The Reserve Officer Training Corps, through intense training and course work, opens the door for entry into the finest Air Force in the world.  Since 1948, our cadets have gone on to serve in a wide range of career fields including aviation, medical, cyber, intelligence, maintenance, logistics, engineering, personnel, force support and security forces.

Home of the Buckeyes, we offer cadets an ideal training environment that imparts the core values of integrity, service and excellence fostering leaders of character and discipline.  Our mission is to develop the finest Air Force leaders.  As a cadet you will be trained in military customs and courtesies and introduced to the exciting and rewarding opportunities in today’s Air Force.  Our cadre will ensure you grow as an individual and a leader.  We will prepare you mentally and physically for the demands of military service and develop the leadership skills necessary to succeed as an officer in the United States Air Force.  We’re excited about your interest in AFROTC Detachment 645 and look forward to assisting you in becoming part of the greatest Air Force in the world.
